The use of computers encourages the mapping of sound
and image in both directions. This process is totally arbitrary
and tells us more about digital coding than of any synesthetic
truth.
While working on the CD "Noise Map" I used 3d visual design
techniques to create sound compositions and experimented
with the re-visualisation of the audio data.
This work resulted in a series of computer images which can
be exhibited as large plots. Some of these appear in the book
"Noise Map".
