Shotgun Architecture - P40

An installation using sound and light at P40, Hamburg.
I recorded the sounds of a gunshot in the three interconnecting spaces of the former mortuary of the Eilbek hospital in Hamburg.

As in the Zuidas recording, the resonances of the spaces are intensified until the gunshots become long sustained tones. The lights flashed on and off with the sound, gradually revealing more and more of the architecture as the sounds got longer.
